Presented by the Chapleau Public Library

Residents and some pioneers of Chapleau at completion of the last run as a C.P.R. engineer of Hill Gagnon in 1947.

Mr. Gagnon was a fireman and engineer from 1900-1947 at Chapleau. From left to right: Dave Melville, C.A. Pellow who was the fireman on this last run, Hill Gagnon, Scotty Wm. Thompson, Harold Almond, Leo O'Brien, Henry Remus, W. McLean, Jack McCarthy.

There is another interesting photo of C.A. (Bill) Pellow as a young lad in 1911. Click here and then do a find for Pellow. The second hit you get should be photo No. 361, showing young Bill and his dogs.
