These photos were procured by Dr. W. R. (Bill) Pellow and supplied to chapleau.com by Doug Greig.

The steam engine was moved into its present resting place on August 23 1964. Earle Freeborn was the engineer on the diesel that pushed and Bud Park was the engineer on the steam unit.

Dr. Pellow was working with the Chapleau Heritage Museum on a project to restore the 5433 engine and he purchased several photos from the CPR archives which were taken on the day the engine was moved into place. In the Chapleau Public Library there are 7 prints for your viewing.
